I love these cute little Bee's and Snails and I was watching my fave person on You Tube and she had this fab idea of making "spring out" features on cards and so I had to give it a go.

I also found a way to make "Swing" or "turn" cards using just one piece of cardstock instead of the usual 2 pieces which join together. These are so much easier and nicer in my opinion as its quite difficult to get the cuts right on 2 pieces of card unless you have a template. I will not buy those as I think they are expensive for what they are -( Yes I am a scrooge !!

You need to use a thicker card though for these but I also found that by adding mats of papers it helped with the overall sturdiness of them.

Cards

A couple of cards I have made using the papers from ScrapbookingMad (link at bottom of this page) I really like these if you hadn't guessed.

I thought the Bee was just made for sliding :-) and for the other card I did a mini concertina to open on the front.

Hope you like them

Having a twee day

Click the link feature at the bottom of this page to see these papers and more
I don't often make this sort of card but I seem to have my card head on of late and with great papers like these who can help but make some pretty little offerings. Visit them at Scrapbookingmad for pretty stuff you buy and print yourself. Bonus point is no pieces that you don't want like a pack of bought papers.

I found this site yesterday and they have some fab collections to download. The ones shown here are all freebies as I thought I would try before I buy but I will go back, if you like cute cards you won't do much better than these. They are easy to buy, use and print at reasonable prices too, the added bonus is if you mess up a sheet of paper you can just print another. I printed mine onto a silk paper and the result was great.

**Sorry to those expecting instructions or a tutorial, I meant to say details of what was used and the Cricut details. For the Journal - The tab pages were cut at 5 1/2 inches and the inner tabs at 5 1/4", the ruled pages are 5" high x 6 ". Mini books are cut at 4" square with inner pages at 3 3/4"

Bind-it All was centred as for most I only use 6 pieces of a comb I am not keen on full length but it depends on what I am making. If you have any questions please ask and I will help f I can but they are pretty straightforward to make :-) xx

Mini Books in boxes
I made these Acetate covered mini books for my nieces who are off on holiday to write their journal notes in so that when they return and we scrapbook they have the times dates etc ready to add to their pages. Well thats the general idea :-)

I used the Papermania selection which came out for Valentines Day which has papers and matching printed acetates, not easy to photograph though. Pink Bind-it All wires. gems etc. I cut the covers and wrap around straps and tabs on the Cricut, from the Fabulous Finds Cart, use multicut 4 times as that goes through it ok with the normal blade housing. Now if I could only get my Cropodile to work I could have used eyelets to fix them instead of brads which show through but I still haven't mastered the blasted thing :-(

I made some little boxes for them with K and Co Brenda Walton Speciality Pad "Sweet Talk" embossed papers and paper string and a charm to finish them off.

Journal - Bloom and Grow Papers My Minds EyeI needed another journal for putting ideas down so I made this one as I love these new papers and the fact that they are embossed and some are double sided is very useful.

Cut on the Cricut, from the Fabulous Finds Cart tabed pages, and covers and ruled index cards cut down for the pages. I used a thick document acetate which is frosted on one side as its thicker than regular for a better cover. I stamped the acetate with Stazon and coloured using Sakura Glitter Pens, due to the texture on the acetate it looks a little strange at first but its o'k. These colours were a perfect match for the papers too just allow a little extra time for it to dry.

Just need to add some wording and the closure and its done.

Leftovers
used the leftover bits of acetate and card to make this little shopping list. Rabbit is by Joanna Sheen Fairy Rabbit stamped with Violet Stazon

Beach Hut Crazy

I adore these little sheds I was given by a fellow crafter and while sorting out found some cute sea stamps so another card was born. Hope you like it.

Border is stamped and watercoloured, Sakura pens for Mermaids, Glaze for hinges, brads and Watercolour pens.

Oh and I found the fade edges on my Photo package so my pictures have a new look!! Hopefully it takes any distractions from the background.
