Stepper Card
Made from leftover papers

Gilded Cage
Chain detail

I had a session today in my new room and made an Anniversary card and some other cards to keep for when they are needed.

Do you like my new free program for adding borders to my photo's? You can buy more borders to add if you want but the basic edition is free.

  • Cuttlebug
  • Tim Holtz dies Tattered Flowers and Leaves and the Bird Cage
  •  Gold leaf
  • double sided adhesive paper
  • distress inks and tool
  • gems, ribbon, chain and a few other bits
Method
  • Fantasy Tree, stamped in distress ink and pearls added

Guilded Cage

  • I put double sided adhesive sheet on both sides of the paper to cut the cage from
  • Die cut with the Tim Holtz die, run through a couple of times as it's quite thick
  • peel off one side of the adhesive backing and put it in a bag with the gilding flakes and cover, rub off excess.  Do the same for the bird
  • Make up the card using the cut elements and cage.
  • Add a tiny chain to the top of the cage to finish, easy
Hope you like them

Nearly finished

Desk and Paper Store Gerry made me

Not finished but I had to try it out
It's been 5 years in the coming but I finally have a proper craft room/office
:-)  Gerry has worked so hard for me to have this room and his carpentry skills have come in very handy.  He made me the paper store ( I need more..lol)  I can put some of the basics and current theme's there, the rest is in the craft cupboard. Two nice long shelves hold my machines and essentials.  Today he has put up the side table for my Cricut to go on and I put up the new curtains I made.  I still need some more shelves in the cupboard and some fine tuning needs to be done but I can use it now.  Tired now but tomorrow I will have a good old session to try it out :-)

New craft space

Not had much time to craft this week as I am in the process of changing rooms as I just don't have enough space to work in the one I have now.  Gerry has put down a new floor and I have painted it and the electrics went in yesterday.  I hope to be able to start moving in my things today.  It will be nice to have more room and a bigger table space.
 Prepared for painting
  Finished

New floor is down
This is just to compact and I so need a bigger workspace :-(
Electrics in now ready to add all my craft stuff :-)

Birthday Smash

Basic Ingredients

I have never done this before and I am not sure I have got the true meaning of a Stash Book down here but it's my version.  I found it hard to break away from the Scrapbooking regime and found having a more random approach quite a challenge but I worked fast and didn't give myself to much time to think which helped a bit.  I found the ideas for these online, I had not heard of them before so it shows how I am out of touch with what's trending right now :-(

I was very spoilt this year for my birthday and had some beautiful cards and gifts from family and friends.   The gifts came in such lovely bags and had my favourite thing right now, Owls on so I "deconstructed" them to make the papers for this book.  Gift bags make the covers, envelopes are reused to make pockets, elements from the left over bags cut out to use as embellishments and the ribbon handles are also used in the book.

Stash used
Birthday Gift bags, cards and tags
sticky tape, binding rings, ribbons, card stock, Tim Holtz dies, Cropodile, chip board, googly eyes
Photo's
K & Co Neopolitan Stickers
I won't bore you with all the details just let the photo's speak for me
thanks for looking
